My crayons are dull lately. The colors have faded, the names are scratched out, the tips pushed against sandpaper and melted in friction. I can't seem to find the ambition to mold and repair my small, childlike tools of creation. So, I turn to scissors and glue to mend the torn edges and roughly sketch in the outline with a pencil.

I think your crayons are in better shape than you think. What is worn on sand paper learns from the different kinds of grit.
