What it is people?!
Wow, it's September? WHAT! This year is flying by and I feel like I can't catch up to save my life. Even in the past couple weeks since my last post...life is passing me by.
So as I enter this Fall season I sort of enter it running...
We have had a few tragic events in the last 2 weeks. Our family said our goodbye's...for now...to my sweet aunt Vickie. She is my fathers only sister...the middle child of their family. I can honestly say that I NEVER heard her say one single bad word about anyone or any situation. She always had such genuine concern for everyone! Always showing such love and gratitude for EVERYTHING. She is quite possibly one of the angels sent to touch the lives of many...pure sweetness...the kind that stays with you for a very long time. My wish for her is a beautiful reunion with her dear son she lost at a young age and some great one on one time with my grandparents. Heaven has gained a dear one and an ambassador for goodness and peace. I believe she is resting peacefully and as my father suggested...she fulfilled her tasks, her assignments as only she could and with such grace and beauty that she has left an imprint on sooooo many. I also wish and pray for her children, grandchildren and husband to be comforted. I will miss her.
Also, my mother in law has struggled with incredible strength during a hip injury, dislocation (5 times in like 2 days) and a hip revision. Seriously, her story made me physically sick. I can't believe the pain she suffered and she is TOUGH!!! RJ and I got to spend 6 days with my in laws helping around the house and gave Ginger a little Wyoming holiday (she loved it...as the pictures show)! It was nice to be able to help out, spend some one on one time and watch RJ be the wonderful and caring son he is. His dad and him are like two pees in a pod...it's great! I'm SOOO glad his mom is doing ok and I think we both feel better having seen that in person. She is a true fighter and never fails to heal at lightening speed.
(Below are Nookie, Moose and Ginger)
Now, the good news...and yes this is the highlight every year at our house. I know it's silly but Fall is the best time around here...F O O T B A L L!!! And RJ is extra happy because the PAC 12 era has finally begun...AND the Bears won this week (Tampa...eeeekkkkk!!!) I know I just lost about 90% of you (which is around 2 people) but the other .2 (no dad, I didn't do that math correctly) of you stick with me...promise???...GREAT!
It's funny that sports are such a big deal to RJ and I. I love them just because that's how I was raised and I love that we can share this passion. I love that sports are more to both of us than just a bunch of people trying to obtain some random way of putting a ball in a certain position...YOU get what I'm saying. It's about heart...tradition...history...brother/sisterhood...bonding...family...excellence...and this is MY blog so I can post about it :)
Ok...more later. Until then, MUCH LOVE to you all!

oatz - i wish i had your way with words. aunt vickie will be missed greatly - i only wish i had taken every opportunity to sit and talk with her. you are right - she never said anything negative about a situation or person. she was truly selfless and giving. i only hope i can remember her example.
pengy.
oh i love this. i would love to see the pictures you took of the viewing someday...
and the doggies are too cute! i love that they are driving the truck in that one picture - adorable.
